Healthy Mango Sherbet Recipe

Ingredients: 1 large navel orange, 2 small mangoes, 1/3 cup (80 ml) granulated sugar, 1/2 cup (125 ml) nonfat yogurt, 1 teaspoon (5 ml) orange liqueur

Instructions: Peel, pit, and slice 2 small ripe mangoes. When peeling the mango, avoid touching the cut skin, then wash your hands immediately to avoid a poison ivy-type rash. Using a vegetable peeler, remove the outer orange-colored peel from the orange. Wrap orange zest in a plastic wrap and set aside.

Line a baking sheet with a wax paper. Place the orange sections and sliced mango on a prepared baking sheet and freeze until it is firm.

Remove the frozen fruits from the freezer 15 minutes before completing the recipe and transfer to a food processor. Add reserved orange peel and sugar. Process until smooth, then pour in the yogurt and liqueur. process for a further 3 minutes. Serve immediately.
