Ingredients

  • 1 medium brown onion, peeled, sliced, and quartered
  • 2 cloves garlic, peeled and crushed
  • 1 pound (480 g) stewing beef, cut into strips
  • 1 teaspoon smoked paprika
  • 3 tablespoons (45 ml) tomato paste
  • 1/2 pound (240 g) sliced mushrooms
  • 1 cup (250 ml) beef stock
  • olive oil

Instructions

Heat the olive in electric instant pot turned to the sauté function. Add onion and garlic. Cook, stirring occasionally, until onion is translucent.

Add beef strips and sauté until meat is browned on all sides. Add the paprika, tomato paste, mushrooms, and beef stock. Stir well.

Close the pot and lock the lid. Set the machine to cook at high pressure. Set the timer to cook for 30 minutes.

Using the Quick Release method, bring pressure to normal. Unlock and open the lid. Stir well before serving.
