How To Make Thai Seafood Sauce

Ingredients: 2 tablespoons (30 ml) chopped garlic, 1 tablespoon (15 ml) chopped chili, 4 tablespoons (60 ml) fish sauce, 4 tablespoons (60 ml) freshly squeezed lime juice, 1 tablespoon (15 ml) sugar

Method: In a blender, combine all ingredients. Blend for 1-2 minutes. Remove the sauce from the blender and transfer to a dip glass bowl. Wrap with a plastic wrap and refrigerate until ready to use.

Ingredients

  • 1/2 cup (125 ml) vegetable oil
  • 1/2 cup (125 ml) freshly squeezed lime juice
  • 1/2 cup (125 ml) thinly sliced red onion
  • 12 lemon slices
  • 1 tablespoon (15 ml) minced fresh parsley
  • 1/2 teaspoon (3 ml) salt
  • 2 pounds (960 g) medium shrimp, cooked, peeled and deveined

Instructions

In a large mixing bowl, combine all ingredients except shrimp. Mix well.

Stir in cooked shrimp. Cover the bowl and refrigerate for 4 hours, stirring occasionally.

Remove marinated shrimp from the refrigerator. Drain well before serving. Serve in a glass bowl with spicy Thai seafood sauce.
