The Best Instant Pot Cranberry Sauce
Yummy homemade vegetarian sauce from scratch. Simple, easy, and delicious!
- 2 (12 oz (453.59 g) packages fresh cranberries
- ½ cup granulated sugar
- ½ cup brown sugar
- ½ cup (125 ml) freshly squeezed orange juice
- 2 strips (3-inch longer each) orange zest
- 1 cinnamon stick
- ¼ teaspoon ground cloves
- ½ teaspoon vanilla extract
In a 6-quart (6 L) electric instant pot, combine cranberries (fresh or frozen), sugars, orange juice and zest, cinnamon stick, and ground cloves. Mix until well combined.
Close the pot and lock the lid. Set the machine to cook at high pressure. Set the timer to cook for 4 minutes.
Using Natural Release method, bring pressure to normal. Carefully unlock and open the lid.
Discard orange zest and cinnamon stick. Using a wooden spoon, mash cranberry sauce until desired consistency reached.
Add vanilla extract and stir well. Allow cooling completely.
Serve with your favorite meat or poultry.
