Instant Pot Cooked Red Kidney Beans Recipe
You can use this cooked beans as a side dish or for vegetarian salads.
- 1 pound (480 g) dry red kidney beans, rinsed and drained
- 1 teaspoon salt
- 1 bay leaf
Place red beans in a 4-6-quart (4-6 L) instant pot.
Cover with 4 cups (2 L) water.
Add bay leaf and sprinkle with salt. Stir well.
Close the pot and lock the lid. Set the machine to cook at high pressure. Set the timer to cook for 35 minutes.
Using the Natural Release method, bring pressure to normal. Carefully unlock and open the lid.
Remove cooked beans from the cooker and transfer to a serving plate.
