Ingredients
- 2/3 cup (160 ml) water
- 1/2 cup (125 ml) granulated sugar
- 3 cups (750 ml) fresh cranberries
- 2 ripe pears, peeled and cored
- 2 tablespoons (30 ml) kirsch
- 1/4 cup (60 ml) orange rind
Instructions
In a small pan, combine 2/3 cup (160 ml) water and sugar. Heat the mixture over medium heat, stirring it, until sugar dissolved completely. Remove the pan from the heat just before the simple syrup starts boiling. Transfer it to a medium bowl, set aside and allow cooling.
In a food processor, combine fresh cranberries and pear. process until smooth. Add cranberry mixture to a simple syrup, then add the remaining ingredients.
Transfer the mixture in the food processor until smooth. Freeze the cranberry sorbet and remove it from the freezer just 15 minutes before serving. Top with fresh cranberries and serve immediately.
