Ingredients
- 10 oz (300 g) dried linguine
- 3/4 cup (180 ml) basil pesto sauce
- 1 pound (480 g) medium shrimp, peeled and deveined
- 1 tablespoon (15 ml) olive oil
- 1 teaspoon (5 ml) Italian seasoning
- salt and freshly ground black pepper, to taste
- 1/4 cup (60 ml) grated Parmesan cheese
- chopped fresh parsley, to garnish
Instructions
Cook linguine according to package instruction.
Meanwhile, cook shrimp. In a large nonstick skillet, heat the olive oil over medium-high heat. Add shrimp to the hot oil, then sprinkle with Italian seasoning, salt, and black pepper. Cook, stirring occasionally, for 2-4 minutes or until shrimp are pink and opaque. Turn off the heat. Using a colander, drain the linguine and add to the pan with cooked shrimp. Toss well.
Stir in the basil pesto sauce. Sprinkle with grated parmesan cheese. Serve hot.
