The Best Fried Sherried Shrimp Recipe

Makes 4 serving (see printable version below) Ingredients: 24 medium raw shrimp, 1/4 cup (60 ml) soy sauce, 1/4 cup (60 ml) dry sherry, 1/4 cup (60 ml) vegetable oil, 1 tablespoon (15 ml) fresh ginger, 1 garlic clove, one lemon

Instructions: Shell and deveine shrimp. Set aside. Finely chop fresh ginger, then peel and finely chop garlic clove.

In a large mixing bowl, combine all ingredients, except shrimp. Mix well. Add shrimp to the mixture and toss well to cover with marinade. Wrap with a plastic wrap and refrigerate for at least 1 hour.

Heat a large nonstick skillet over medium-high heat. Remove marinated shrimp from the refrigerator. Place the shrimp with a little of the marinade in the hot skillet. Cook, stirring occasionally for 3-4 minutes, or until shrimp are done.

Remove the skillet from the heat. Slice the lemon into thin slices and arrange on a serving plate. Using a spatula, transfer cooked to a serving plate. Serve over lemon slices. Enjoy!

Instructions

Place marinated shrimp with a little of the marinade in a large nonstick skillet.
