Instant Pot Japanese Sushi Rice Recipe
Ingredients
- 2 cups uncooked sushi rice
- 2 cups (500 ml) water
- 1/4 cup (60 ml) rice vinegar
- 2 teaspoons granulated sugar
- 1 teaspoon salt
Instructions
Rinse the rice under cold running water for 6-8 minutes, not allowing absorbing too much water.
Add rice to instant pot and pour in the water.
Close the pot and lock the lid. Set the machine to cook at high pressure. Set the timer to cook for 6 minutes.
Using the natural Release method, bring pressure to normal. Carefully unlock and open the lid.
Gently remove cooked rice from the cooker and transfer to a large bowl.
Stir in rice vinegar, sugar, and salt. Using a wooden spoon mix well. Sushi rice is ready. Enjoy!
