Ingredients
- 2 cups Fenugreek leaves, washed
- 1/2 cup whole wheat flour
- 1/2 cup besan (gram flour)
- 1 green chili, finely chopped
- 1 teaspoon ginger paste
- 1/4 teaspoon ground turmeric
- 1 teaspoon red chili powder
- 1/4 teaspoon baking soda
- pinch of salt
- 2½ teaspoons sugar
- 2-3 teaspoons freshly squeezed lemon juice
- 3 tablespoons oil
- 2-3 tablespoons of water
Instructions
In a medium mixing bowl, combine the wheat flour, besan (gram flour), turmeric, red chili powder, salt, sugar, baking soda, ginger paste, and green chilies. Stir well. Add oil and lemon juice. Mix well, by rubbing between your fingers. Stir in methi leaves. Adding a little water at a time, knead the mixture into a smooth and soft dough. Divide the dough into parts. Shape into balls, then press them down to form patties. Preheat your air fryer to 400º F (200º C) for 5 minutes. Place the patties in the air fryer basket. Spray with nonstick cooking spray. Fry at 400º F (200º C) for 10 minutes, flipping halfway through. Serve hot.
